Your data should be handled clearly and responsibly.

• Provide the email-open tracking feature selected by the user.
• Display tracked emails, open counts, timestamps, and status information in the Mail Audit dashboard and extension.
• Authenticate users and protect account access.
• Identify and exclude supported sender self-opens.
• Detect abuse, investigate errors, and maintain service reliability.
• Measure and improve product performance when analytics is enabled.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of users and the service.

Mail Audit has one primary purpose: helping Gmail users track whether emails they send are opened and showing related engagement information.

Mail Audit does not sell personal information, use tracked-email data for advertising, or create unrelated profiles about users or recipients.

Mail Audit does not sell or rent personal information. Data may be processed by providers needed to operate the product:

• Google, for account sign-in, Gmail integration, and authentication.
• Vercel, for application hosting and delivery.
• Neon, for managed PostgreSQL database hosting.
• Google Analytics, only when configured, for limited website usage and performance analytics.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate abuse or security incidents, protect users, or complete a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

Mail Audit uses reasonable safeguards such as HTTPS encryption, authenticated dashboard access, restricted database access, and environment-based secret management.

Account and tracking information is kept while needed to provide the service, maintain tracking history, resolve security or support issues, meet legal obligations, or until a verified deletion request is completed.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should avoid using Mail Audit for highly sensitive or legally restricted information unless they have an appropriate lawful basis and required notices.

• Disable tracking from the extension when you do not want new emails to be tracked.
• Uninstall the extension to stop its operation in Chrome. Uninstalling alone does not automatically delete server-side account history.
• Request deletion of your account and associated tracking records through the Data Deletion page.
• Contact support to ask a privacy question or request correction of inaccurate account information.

Users are responsible for using email tracking lawfully and transparently. Depending on the country, organization, relationship, and message context, notice or consent may be required before tracking a recipient.

Mail Audit must not be used for unlawful surveillance, harassment, deceptive activity, spam, discrimination, or any activity that violates another person's rights or applicable platform rules.

Mail Audit is intended for professional users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children who cannot legally use the service.

This policy may be updated when features, providers, data practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be revised when an updated policy is published.
